The Problem: Early last year, a customer approached our National Account Manager, about a large sign project that needed to be completed at a shopping mall in Boca Raton, FL. At that time, all of the signs and posts on the shopping mall property were standard and offered very little aesthetic value. Because the shopping mall is a high profile property, the customer wanted to upgrade their signage to reflect that image.
The Solution: Throughout the year, we worked with the customer to come up with a perfect solution to their problem. We presented them with several style and color options for the sign posts and finials. In the end, the customer decided to have the signs mounted on backing plates and to use round posts with Acorn shaped finials. The backing plates, posts and finials were to be powder coated black. The customer also chose to have a large portion of the sign posts installed in steel bollards. Yellow bollard covers would then be placed over the bollards for protection.
In November of 2012, we received approval to begin producing the signs, posts, and finials for this project. After production was complete, we sent two sign crews to Boca Raton, FL to install over 400 new signs. Once in Florida, our sign crews worked through the night, for over two weeks, removing the old signage and installing the new.
The Result: As a result of this project, the signage around the shopping mall now matches the high profile image of the property. The new signage offers a customized look that is much more appealing to the eye.
